Creative Homes is listed among the Star Tribune's Top 200 companies, ranking #3 in the Small Companies category. This is the fifth year in a row Creative Homes has been named a Top Workplace and our best year yet at #3! On top of this, the President & CEO of Creative Homes, Nick Hackworthy, has been named the Top Small Company Leader!

The evaluation of the Top Workplaces is based on feedback provided in a survey completed by our team members earlier this year. The survey focuses on several areas that are factors in determining organizational health including, alignment, effectiveness, connection, engagement, management, leadership, compensation/training and diversity. The rankings in the Star Tribune Top 200 Workplaces are based on survey information collected by Energage, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention.

Time and time again Creative Homes' employees mention the fun culture and passion! Survey results of employees in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 showed a common theme of words including fun, team, and energy. I really enjoyed the weekly calls with the builder. It made me feel like I knew what progress was happening during the build, and really set a tone of trust with the builder that I wasn't expecting. I found those conversations, even when very short, to be extremely helpful in staying calm during the build process.
From the initial conversations and choosing our lot and floor plan, to our design meeting and the actual build itself Creative's team made us feel at ease and went above and beyond. We felt like they truly cared and looked out for our best interests.
It has been four months since we have moved into our home and I cannot put into words how thankful we are that we built with Creative. They’re the type of company you feel like once you move in you want to invite over for dinner and drinks once a month! In conversation with other friends and family who have built new construction with other companies, I truly believe that Creative is unique in that!
