Creative Homes partnered with SOWASHCARESCO Cares and Basic Needs Thrift Shop to sponsor 10 families this holiday season acting as "Elves" to spread holiday cheer and make wishes come true! Our team members collected gifts based off of the wish lists provided from each family and spent last Friday afternoon wrapping all of the presents. It was time well spent as a team giving back to the community we are so proud to be a part of.
What is the Community Elves Holiday Help Program?
This program is set up to benefit families that may need help for the holidays in Washington County locations (including veterans in Dakota County). The program provides to parents and children that are identified by as being in the greatest need. Caring people from across our community and beyond are encouraged to participate. Anyone can become an Elf, individuals as well as members of families, office groups, and community organizations
How Does It Work?
We are working with the District 833 schools and Washington County staff to identify the families who are in greatest need. Those families are notified of the opportunity and are encouraged to submit their information on each family member via an online form. Staff at Basic Needs then distributes the profiles to individuals, families, or groups who want to sponsor a family or individual. Sponsors (Elves) purchase items, making sure that each family member receives an item on their list, wrap the items, and drop off the gifts at Basic Needs Thrift Shop.
At Creative Homes, giving back our time, money, and other resources is embedded into who we are. To do this, we partner with many different non-profits located around the Twin Cities. Wow! It's hard to know where to even start and I know I won't be able to list everything, but I have to try and tell you how we awesome we feel about the whole building process with Creative Homes and how much we truly love our new home. The process of building with Creative Homes was the most relaxing (sounds weird, but so true!) home building experience we have ever been through. The communication provided from the very start until the very end has been phenomenal. Not once during the whole process did we ever sit and wonder what was going on regarding our home. I honestly wish I could name everyone behind the scenes at Creative Homes who works so hard to make customers like us have such an awesome home building experience. This company has the standards and employees that all companies should take note of and follow the example of.
Best quality and people to work with. This is the 4th home I have built in my lifetime and by far the best of the best.
The building process was so fun and easy; every week it was so exciting to see progress on our home. The design studio made for an easy experience when picking all the materials for our home. From start to completion, their attention to detail was phenomenal. Creative Homes has a solid team of experts and were always there to answer any question we would have. There is no doubt that I would recommend Creative Homes to anyone building a home.
I cannot express how happy we are with the overall experience we have had with Creative Homes. Everyday my husband and I say “we love our house”. Everything from the flooring to the fixtures turned out better than we could have imagined. From the beginning to the end Creative was there for us every step of the way! We are so grateful to Creative Homes for building our dream home!
