As you may have read in our latest market update blog or seen in the news, the real estate market of 2021 is unlike any other time in recent history. Demand is high while the costs of materials continue to rise given unprecedented demand. Like many other builders, we had hoped that the increases in material costs and the delays of the last year would slow down, but they just haven’t.
We have truly had the greatest privilege of starting off this year adding so many of you to our Creative Homes family. As we move forward, we need to control the pace that we’re moving to guarantee the engaging, personalized experience that our team is so passionate to deliver. Because of the rapidly changing market, we will be working with each homebuyer personally to provide real-time financial implications of the changing market while working through any purchase agreement process.
Two examples of updates to our sales process:
• QMI homes will now be priced after drywall.
• Homebuyers will have options throughout these uncertain times before dig.
