Creative Homes is seeking an Estimator to join our high energy, rapidly growing team!

Overview: This role is responsible for managing all activities involved with creating and maintaining material take-offs.

Essential Estimating Responsibilities:

• Estimate materials for new plans, design center options and change orders
• Create and maintain accurate material take-offs
• Monitor material usage in the field for overages/shortages to update/correct material take-offs
• Record and analyze take-off data through Microsoft Excel
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost reductions
• Prepare bid requests for new/existing plans
• Assist in evaluating new bid proposals

Requirements: Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, ability to proofread and edit, and complete projects in a timely manner. Job requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Must have the attitude and ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities and challenges, be able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with a professional, positive demeanor.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of estimating and purchasing experience in the home building industry.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Proficient with Microsoft products suite, specifically Excel
• Experience in BuilderTrend preferred
• Experience with Planswift or Bluebeam
• Must have a solid working knowledge of home construction process
• Thorough knowledge of construction/building materials and labor
• Ability to read, interpret and develop take offs, scopes of work, specifications, and other construction documents
• Organized, professional, detailed, works well under pressure
• Excellent computer, written, verbal communication skills

Working Conditions:

• Performs administrative duties in an office environment
• Operate standard office equipment
• Some travel to job sites required
• Able to perform work duties during weekdays, including Saturdays, if required.
• Able to work with minimal supervision
